I was going to be called Liam originally, which would have been fine with me. I'm pretty happy with Stuart though.

Apparently, Gregory was the other choice. I think i prefer Brian.
And Brian, i'm a Brian Vincent, not a Brian James. But i do like that combination...

First name: Spider-Man Middle name:...i'll go with Solid Snake
In total: Spider-Man Solid Snake Wrenn
If you get to know me you could call me Spider Snake. But never, ever, call me Man Solid.
But seriously i wouldn't change my name. Even if it is just a generic Irish one.

My mom almost named me Forrest but she thought people would say something about Forrest Gump. Turns out almost no one I know has seen Forrest Gump, but everyone has something to say about Mario. Jesus Christ, people! Give it up! It was funny in 1st grade, now it's just annoying! Forrest is a much cooler name.

You just better hope you weren't born in Catalonia or with a lisp.

HA-HAAA!! That was dyno-mite!
I guess I'm happy with a name where I don't have to live up to any expectations. If I had a name like Houdini, or Jesus Christ, everybody would be expecting me to pull out some crazy miracles or something. Can you imagine the pressure?!?:
"Hey Jesus, thanks for taking the garbage out and everything, but did you bother bringing back any fish or bread?" Sheesh!
With a name like Scott, everything good I do is like extra credit:
"Hey Scott, thanks for not peeing all over the toilet seat this time." Hey, no problem. |

OK, so why Catalonia? I have no idea about Catillians, but Catalonians pronounce their s's and hard c's with more of a "th" sound. Wasn't meant to be a slight, just a humourous observation. It took some adjusting to hear the city was actually pronounced "Barthelona"

as far as i know it's only with c's, dean, and only when followed by an "e" or an "i"
(otherwise, wouldn't it be thatalonia? )

Ah, I thought it was with all the 's' sounds. The 'ck' sound (as in Catalonia) I knew they didn't, but leave it to me to botch a simple joke anyway.

The question is, can someone use this term in reference to themselves:

I'd want to be jimmy or Joe.
By the way, this probably isn't related, but I don't trust people who have a first name for their last name, like George Michael. You know, you ask their name and they say, George, which they just made up, then you ask their last name, and they still have all these fake first names floating around in their head, and they answer Michael.
I'm sure this is true somehow.
Wait, I don't mean that George Michael isn't really his name, I mean, it might be a stage name. I'm just using the name as an example, not the person.
But then again, I don't really trust George Michael, the singer. Or at least it's people like him that make me want to pee in the stall instead of the urinal.

I'd probably choose the way my name is now rather than its full version to save confusion and to be able to answer yes, my parents were raging hippies without lying.
