Alright, in theory there's a forum on the website, but it's rubbish. So here we are.

Sign up, sign up for the FB.net fantasy football World Cup. Footie fever is of course upon us, and here's the official league - mentioned previously, it now has a proper home, bless it's heart.

http://fantasyfootball.metro.co.uk/index.html

So pick yourself a world beating team and go to 'join league' - you'll need to enter the code 4768-1177.

It's all free and via the magic of the interweb so scores magically calculate themselves. Do it now!

I'm in as FC Simone. Challenge me if you dare.

care to share your all-killing midfield?

What formation have you gone for?

I'm on a 3-4-3. I may have underspent on the defence but they're never the highest scorers are they?

The midfield is Maniche (of Football Focus fame, I think); Joe Cole (he could go far), and Stevie G and Ronaldinho, i.e. speak for themselves.

Awesome.

Yep, I've got Gerrard as well, along with C. Ronaldo, Rosicky and Vieira.

My midfield >*

Ideally I'd have had Kaka and/or Riquelme in there, but couldn't afford them.

343 here too.

I joined.

I don't know much about soccer. Spent all of my credits, though.

Hope I do alright!

6: Ronaldinho
7: Fabregas
8: Park Ji-Sun
9: Riquelme

Spend high, spend low.

My defense was bought on the cheap.

I'd put Eric Drew Feldman in defence, adn Rich Gilbert in center-midfeield. Lyle Workman can be a striker.

hey, I entered the game without having read the rules, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
Oh wait, you mean the shirt and all? Yeah, it sucks too. But not as much as the team I selected.

I've joined - my mighty team is known as the Whitby Wanderers after the road (whitby rd) that I live on. With regards to my line-up, I'm keeping my cards close to my chest for now.

Looks like you might soon have a world cup star in your ranks though (well nearly). He might go if fatlad isn't fit in time or if Crouch bangs his head on the crossbar. Yes thats right, if rumour is to be believed AJ is on his way to the JJB for eight and a half million. He's not a bad little player, but eight mill, get a grip!

Ps anyone wanna hear a shit joke? Well here it is :
England are in training and Beckham floats in a beautiful ball for little Mickey Owen. Owen looks certain to meet the cross when he slips on a dog shit.
Owen stands up covered in shit and screams 'Who's shit on the floor!?'
Crouch sticks his hand up and says glumly 'Im alright in the air.'

hahaha

Haha, good joke, guy in a rover.

I would be absolutely chuffed if we signed Johnson, but £8.5milliom is far too much for a guy who's had just one season in the premiership. I've heard that Johnson is more interested in Everton, but they cant pay as much as we can upfront. Same with Bolton too, offering £3mil now and the rest in installments.

Saying that, Dave Whelan and Paul Jewell can be a bit tight with money so it's about time we shell out rather than miss out.

It's the greatest league in the world, so why not?

Johnson isn't worth that money, especially as Portsmouth are rumoured to be after Camara for less. Camara is better IMO.

Well I've got all World Cup betting slips from the bookies, now I just have to study them for a few days and make my selections.

Football is all about opinions I guess, England is a nation of armchair managers, but I have to say 8 and a half mill is fucking ridiculous for a player of Johnsons talents. Im kind of glad we appear to have been priced out of the race. We're in desperate need of a decent striker though. Actually wouldn't mind goin after Camara at the right price, although he's rumoured to be a bit of a gobshite.

Ps come on England(B)!

The Noblot scum have matched our offer anyway and he'd probably rather go there if it's between us and them. I'd be happy either way. If we sign him, fair enough, a decent goalscorer is on the way (admittedley for more than he's worth) and if he joins Horwich Wanderers then that will be most (all?) of big Sam's transfer budget spent on one player.
We could get a couple of decent players instead with the money.

How about I start a Premiership thread, eh? It'll stop us derailing threads all the time.

To be fair, this thread is gonna be pretty dead until the World Cup starts.

I also think Johnson will choose Bolton.
