I use Nero 7 for my burning needs. Does anyone have a preference for what software to use for ripping CD's to MP3's?
I would like the software to do the following: -Pull CD info from the internet -Keep "Album" information in order without having to rename the tracks - "01 Let It Be", etc. -Choose what Bitrate I would like to encode
Any suggestions? |

Wow. Must check that out...I was just asking about burning tracks without gaps recently, Dean recommended Nero, is it possible to do that with CDex, Holiday?

I use CDBurnerXP Pro 3 to rip and burn. Probably not the best but it usually does what it's supposed to do.
Oh, and it's free :)

Nope. CDex is not a burning software. It just extracts and/or convert to mp3. |

I use CDex as well for ripping. Burning, I usually just use Nero. I think Foobar2000 can burn without gaps, but it's tricky to configure (and it uses Nero's files anyway).
That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

CDex, I just downloaded it. I do not see an option to adjust Bitrate.
Is there one and I am not seeing it? |

i use Exact Audio Copy and lame mp3 maker thingy. works a treat and creates the best copies available. since i use EAC to make my wav copies, makes sense to me to use it for mp3 as well.
if i don't use EAC cause feeling lazy, i just use itunes for mp3's which seems to work well.
and for when i used to make audio cd's from mp3's i used to use nero to crossfade the tracks. that worked well.
all i can say, thank god for polio! brian |
