Does anyone out there still trade the old fashined way (ie: send me blanks for your recordings, and a couple blanks for me, and we will mail out copies of the show you wanted) or is it now all dime torrent and such? I am setting up a new website for trading (And will not give out said website's name until I know it is ok with all the mods here) and I will be collecting mostly Frank Black, Pixies, and Breeders shows. I was thinking it would be a good way for people of this site to have access to someone who would be willing to get them all the FB shows they wanted via mail, and ACTUALLY SEND THEM. What I am really trying to find out is if there is any interest in sparking up the old trading ring again or if it is still out there, alive and well. Let me know.

So long as you're not trading in copies of commercial stuff, post away. The more FB on the net, the merrier.

I generally swap show for show or 1 blank for each half hour of recorded time plus blanks for your copies and postage, And I always give the same in return. I always try to clean up my files and take all the little spaces out of mp3 recordings and remaster them and save to .WAV so that the shows run seamless. With all that in mind... the website is A-C.4mg.com and like I said, The website is still just starting... I have over 10 Frank Black shows in hold, (My name for the process of re-editing, mastering, tracking, and EQing before I offer them to the public)but only have two shows ready at the moment, but more will be appearing DAILY. I figure, if you're willing to help with the CD's, I can get good quality physical COPIES of these shows for everyone. And it goes without saying that I keep it as legal as possible. I do not deal in ANY commercially available material.

Reburning mp3s to wav files (i.e. audio CD-Rs) is LAME - you're polluting the trading pool that way. I'd be happy to B&P you a boatload of shows provided you keep everything in its original format when distributing it.
