Has anyone heard this album yet? Comes out on May 30th and they are playing on Conan the Friday before the album comes out.
You have to check this out. Mike Patton at his finest. I really dig the track with Massive Attack!
Peeping Tom's track listing is:
Five Seconds (with Odd Nosdam) Mojo (with Rahzel and Dan the Automator) Don't Even Trip (with Amon Tobin) Getaway (with Kool Keith) Your Neighborhood Spaceman (with Jel and Odd Nosdam) Kill The DJ (with Massive Attack) Caipirinha (with Bebel Gilberto) Celebrity Death Match (with Kid Koala) How U Feelin? (with Doseone) Sucker (with Norah Jones) We're Not Alone (with Dub Trio)

Mmh... the list of guests looks very uninteresting to me (except Kid Koala and Kool Keith) and I don't care for Patton, but the concept certainly deserves at least a listen.

I think Mike Patton has the absolute best male singing voice that I have ever heard. There are too many artists that singing is secondary; it is nice to have a artist whose primary instrument is their voice - I love Mike Patton. |

Agreed Mike Patton is definately my favourite singer I'm really looking forward to this album. Its nice to finally see the tracklist. Its strange I listened to a couple of the tracks from the demo and there not on that listing, sounded quite Beckish what I heard.

I remember he said in a magazine some years ago that Peeping Tom was one of his favorite films.

It's crazy but I read that they recorded like 30+ songs and they already have enough material for another CD! -- Only fools have signatures

Interesting but not totally convincing. I expected something more audacious or, on the contrary, more commercial. Looks like Mr. Patton himself has hesitated. But that's just my opinion. I'm not really disappointed - I like most songs -, I simply don't know what to think of the album as a whole.

I was kind of excited about this album but I gotta say I'm not that impressed. Six years in the making and this is the end product? Theres a few songs I like but for the most part it's pretty average. I was REALLY looking forward to the Kool Keith song (one of my favorite MC's) but it sounds like Keith just went for the bare minimum here, pretty much a let down. I like the last song and the somewhat annoyingly catchy "Mojo", other than that um...well, I really hope this album is a grower.

Funny, these three are my faves too :)
I also tend to like "Five Seconds" and the two last songs, but the rest leaves me indifferent or, at best, perplexed.

I heard it once but was having a pretty involved conversation at the time so would want to hear it again. What I did hear sounded quite ordinary.

When I saw the Troubadour show for Delirium Cordia everyone kept looking up and to the right at the VIP section. It was funny to see Danny Devito up there head banging to the chaotic jump cut sounds of Fantomas while Rhea Perlman sat behind the overlook window in the private bar. They shoulda had him waddle around in his Penguin outfit onstage or something.

Devito must be a bit of an modern rock fan. He was at Coachella this year.
BTW, at that Troubadour show, was Rhea Perlman serving drinks and dishing out sassy attitude?!
