What's your favourite cloud type, and why?
Well? There's your basic cloud types such as stratus, cumulus and cirrus - found at different altitudes. But there are numerous variations which a keen-eyed enthusiast can view in differing weather conditions.
Here's my favourite, the altocumulus lenticularis, of which perfect examples look like space ships.
That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

Yeah, lenticular clouds are a rare breed, I'd probably side with you. That said, as long as I'm not in a plane, give me a good old fashioned cumulonimbus. Nothing like a good prairie storm. Here's the life cycle:

Life:
On the Move:
Explosive Death:

Sorry, I've had my head in the clouds this past week.
