I want something like I remember
And I want something
That lasts forever
I remember times you said
That you'd be true to me
Look at how the weather's changing

I'm accustomed to your deception
Comes the rule with no exception
And I've been dragged across the river
Running far and wide
Come and see how I feel inside

Change for the better
Change for the worse
Changes with summer and fall

I don't really like change. I tend to resist it, I hoard stuff, don't like chucking it. If circumstances are unexpected, I tend to feel a bit uneasy and withdraw...or get grumpy. I'm quite analytical, so tend to try and think things through before I do them. Occasionally I'm impulsive, but not that often..soooooo....

How do you deal with change? Do you like it? Embrace it? Or do you resist it at every turn and prefer the warm comfort zone you live in?
Is it specific...do you like changes at work but not at home...or vice versa?

It's not subtle enough, is it?

as a brick in the face

Change happens to me. I wish to all things good and glittery I could be a stubborn comfort zone type but, nooooooooo. It can be distressing but ultimately it just has to be ridden out.
It's never a comfortable ride either. I suppose afterwards though getting through it all is an achievement. Wha doesn't kill you.... some other cliche that makes me want to do violence...

One of mine, na, it's the start of Changes by Sugar (Bob Mould) - I just thought it fit.

I think change is necessary, just sometimes it's forced upon us and sometimes we go looking for it. It's funny there are books about managing change, especially in business. It usually ends up in the managers consulting the workers on the best way to change the business, and then doing what they wanted to do in the first place. Thereby pissing off workers two-fold by ignoring them and introducing change at the same time.

I like change, I'm just often too lazy to implement it. Then again, sometimes my laziness prevents me from keeping things going, therefore forcing change upon me.

I am especially bad at moving jobs if I am not happy. I tend to drift along in employment.

How did I miss this, with Bob lyrics to boot? My life's all about major changes right now.

Even self-propelled, much-needed change can feel stressful. It's irrational but true.

I generally hate change. I tend to get in routines, and like to stick to them. On the other hand, if everything always stayed the same, I'm sure I'd get sick of it.

I think people like change so long as it doesn't affect them. What they don't like is risk.
