That's the title of a kd lang song and it comes to mind on this sleepless night with a full moon. Not to get all New Age-y, but does the full moon affect you (no werewolf jokes, please!)? A friend who works in emergency medicine says that all kinds of mishaps occur on such nights and his workplace gets really busy. I've had more than one cop say the same thing. What do you think? I think I'm gonna get next to no sleep tonight.
I’m the only one who can say that this light is mine

I read an article on this once. The moon, 'tis a powerful rock for sure. Never experienced anything unusual myself though.
"When you are the moon, the best form you can be is a full moon. And then the half moon... he's all right. But the full moon is the famous moon. And then three-quarters, eh, no one gives a shit about him. When does he come, two days in, to the calendar month? He's useless. Full moon. The moon. The main moon."

Got a beautiful view of the moon last night, glowing amid dark purple clouds. 'Twas Cool.

It was night, hence the effect....
Seriously, though, I live on the planet Klondike in the Zardoz nebula. You may have heard of it.
What am I on about...

Your right Carl the moon was amazing last night. The myths suppossed to go that the moons tidal effects affects your body as it is made up of 90% water. I don't know if it was a full moon when I worked in A&E, but thank God it wasn't the weekend.
black, it was always black...... |

My mate claims that every full moon, the males on his fathers side of the family get very aggressive and attack one another. His normally agreeable brother came in one night when I was there and threw a mobile phone at him, he glanced out the window and said: 'As I suspected, a full moon'. Sounded like a load of old hooey to me.

Apparently, the moon effects the water in your body, just as it does the tides, or something like that, which is suppossed to account for it's affect on people.
[EDIT] Sorry, Barry already pointed that out!

"The fact that the human body is mostly water largely contributes to the notion that the moon should have a powerful effect on the human body and therefore an effect on behavior. It is claimed by many that the earth and the human body both are 80% water. This is false. Eighty percent of the surface of the earth is water. Furthermore, the moon only affects unbounded bodies of water, while the water in the human body is bounded."

The full moon does seem to cause a little more wildness here in the city. Also, there is nothing like being at a party out in the sticks, drinking to excess, then going out as a group to howl at the moon.
