I listened to this tune and it made me cry. I sing this song and it makes me cry. I sing it all the time when I'm at work. |

Yeah, I can't say I've cried for it, but definitely my favourite song on Honeycomb. Strange Goodbye chokes me up though.

I thought you were referring to "Allison" ~ OK now I get it, SB is indeed a nice tune...

Definitely one of my favourites off Honeycomb along with 'I Burn Today' and 'Sing For Joy'.
Never cried for it though...

I haven't cried at it either, but it's a great song. I was a little apprehensive about Honeycomb before hearing it, but when it started out with "Selkie Bride," I knew I was in for a treat.

This song made me get divorced.

Selkie Bride is great, but it could never make me cry. I stopped using music as an excuse to cry years ago. A good song will raise the hair on my arms and inspire me, but nothing more than that. I refuse to be a slave to my emotions.

Very few songs have ever really made me want to cry based on the song alone. Maybe a memory with the song, or the lyrics remind me of someone/something, but generally i guess i just don't cry all that often. I wish i could - i think sometimes i'm a bit cold.
