Everyone got the Iditarod fever? How's your favorite musher doing?
Aliy Zirkle is my fave. Despite the name she's a true-blooded American who will bring the championship back to Alaska. It was one thing when the outsiders from the lower 48 won a few Iditarods, but foreigners from Norway? It's time to bring it back home.

Arrgh..horrible event.
I say on with the event, but let them haul around the gawd-damned sleds without dogs...now that'd be a sport.

| Doug Swingley has jumped out to the lead. It's hard tracking who's leading the race since those namby-pamby interferers have forced the mushers to take 24 hour breaks. You've got to hand it to Swingley, he knows how to drive those dogs and squeeze out every little second. He's a great athlete. |

I knew a guy who inherited a dog that used to run these types of things. The dog was a bad ass and strutted around with an almost daunting sense of confidence. One time I saw him kick ass on the pit bull down the street that everyone on the block hated. These dogs are athletes, and have a pride akin to a prized race horse.
