Ever noticed this before? A guitarist from Biarritz showed me this last night, the word for "eight" corresponds for that of "night" in the same language:

english: eight - night
french: huit - nuit
german: achts - nacht
spanish: ocho - noche
italian: otto - notte
portuguese: oito - noite

Below that on his page he had the figure eight on its side.

Given the number of words in a language, the limited combination of sounds a language has, I am not surprised that there are two words that share the same sounds accross their translations in 6 indo-european languages.

Of course, this is not the key to this thread.

the key is "a guitarist from Biarritz".

I find it kind of interesting...

But I just finished a book called the Adventures of English so who am I to say?
