This is probably a dumb question, and maybe my problem has a really easy, obvious answer but anyway...
for the past three weeks, whenever I enter a subject for a Search on AOL, this is what happens: I'll type frank black forum into the search box and hit the search button and on the next page that comes up, it'll say in the box frank%20black%20forum and I have to remove all the %20s and hit search again and then it works like normal. It's making me mad. Signed, 20% Apeshit in Massachusetts
I've seen that pop up in other boxes on other computers in the past and I'm also wondering if it has anything to do with the Elvis Costello song "20% Amnesia". |

Nothing to do with that. Spaces can be represented by %20 in places where spaces are parsed (i.e. hunted out as an end of statement). So, for example, in URLs you'll never see a space. Why AOL is putting your %20's in, I don't know, they're generally hidden from view, but that would be annoying to say the least. Mind you, I find AOL in general to be a little annoying. Good luck. :)

thanks, Cof, AOL sucks, I guess I'm just gonna have to live with it. It's just so weird how it just started to do that after working normally all this time. |
