I was just listening to "St. Francis Dam Disaster" when I suddenly realized I'd never checked the liner notes to figure out just who was playing the banjo; found out it was Moris Tepper, and so I Googled the name and found his official website. Turns out there's an interesting bit of news on the front page:
<< Moris just recently performed with Frank Black for a taping of the "Henry Rollins Show" on the IFC cable channel to air later this Spring. We'll let you know as soon as we get the air date! >>
Sure Henry was Black Flag's worst singer (by far) but he doesn't sing on the show. There hasn't been a new installment in several months, so I wondered if it had been cancelled.
I don't think I've seen a guest do a musical performance on the show before, but I'm glad Frank and Moris will be there.
To be fair I have enjoyed a few episodes of Henry's Film Corner. He had Crispin Glover on when he was coming out with his movie that was entirely cast with people affected by Downs Syndrome. Probably not going to see something like that on Jay Leno.
And if he's gonna have Frank on his show playing, who can argue with that?
