Come on! I desperately need a loud, rocking, mindblowing Frank Black solo gig. Please! It's been more than 2 years since my last Catholics gig and I won't stand it much longer.

A solo gig would be cool, I've never seen one.

Me too. It's been so long since my last fB gig.
I want to hear announcement and speedy marie and do nothing and parry the wind and mosh with lyrics and pong and men in black and fiddle riddle with Lyle and the adventure and the resolution and taco <deep breath> Amnesia and ten percenter, at the end of the world and more Frank Black. Gimme gimme gimme.
edit: no pixies!

We did. Now no pixies songs for you, kelladwella.
How about a fB tour (or just one gig in england) with frnck playing songs spanning both his solo and catholic career instead? |

A new tour would be cool, if the man includes Southamerica would be mega cool. I have seen Pixies, Breeders.....I never have been in a FB concert, I'll dream about it.

No, no, no. It should be a California tour. A few intimate clubs scattered throughout California with a varying lineup. Some nights a few Catholics, other nights a Pixie or two, and then one golden night in the middle of nowhere (say in Winters at the Palms) with a mind-blowing guest like Tom Waits. That sounds like a plan. |

One of those 'intimate' London shows would be nice.

Please!

I was listening to the 'Live 10pm EST' show this morning and that was a fun lineup, which got me thinking of the ultimate 'Frank Black Experience' band to play his back catalogue. I can't imagine certain Catholic songs being performed without Rich. G, or the solo in Ramona without Joey.
A varied lineup is the only way. |

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Some kind of shifting lineup might be fun. Like, dare I say it, the Breeders shows in November. |

Count me in. Solo, all good, but I'd be grateful for the rawk version of six-sixty-six, it darn near blew my mind.
I suggest a secret gig somewhere in North London, that seems like the rational plan.

"suppose" there is a frank Black solo tour to accompany the new album, what would you think that the setlist/line-up would be? For a bit of fun...
I personaly would like to see some of the honeycomb/fastman musicians with him as well as either lyle or Joey.
The setlist would have to contain NO pixies songs! ( I dont have something against them..... but I think Frank and alot of his fans are fed up of hearing them now..There would have to be some of the new Road for the hit/Snake Oil songs thrown in there as well as the usual frank songs. And last but not least lots of Honeycomb/Fastman Radierman.
Am I getting too carried away
