Correct me if i'm wrong but seems there never was a tab of Angst anywhere roud here, or what? This is an original, right? So is it just too easy to tab (seems there's one very simple riff repeated all over)? Allrighty then i'll do it myself. |

Yes, it is off SSMVGD. I want to say it was eventually released on a single, but I could be wrong. I just wanted to reach my post quota of 1 for the day.

He seemed to play the song quite a lot around that time. Solo and acoustic. Any ideas what it's about? I mishear it and think it's about trying to score pot. |

in some live show case, the man says it's a homage to the punk band Angst from SST records. i like to think it's about (at least the first verse) J. Mascis (then again it could be anyone else, but since they were in the same college...) coming to mr thompson's place to show him some guitar tricks and frank stealing everything he could. i know it's far fetched, to say the least. the second verse i have no idea what's it's about. |

I think it really is an homage to the band Angst. Frank was talking about them quite a bit, a year or two ago.
Chords are most likely not these: F# A B C C# G# A (over and over)
Does anyone have an album by these guys? I think they're out of print? |

I think you're right, they're most likely not those. Kinda close, but doesn't quite sound right to me.
The song's definitely about the band Angst: the second verse is all references to their titles (Mending Wall, Cry For Happy, and such). I've got Cry For Happy, and while it's certainly not bad I'd like to hear some of the older stuff, which is said to be much better.
Nothing is ever something. |
