sorry if there's a thread for this, searching never works...
So I downloaded the whole of Lost series 1 and watched all of them in two days... I tried to resist watching the last two so I could watch it "live with the nation" on wedneday (uk).. but i gave in last night. and was then suprised to learn that america's already well into series 2, so i downloaded the first four episodes of that and watched them... and now i'm downloading some more.
as you can see, i'm hooked. are there any other fans who want to have geeky conversations about some of the stuff in the show?

This show kicks some serious polarbear ass, if you ask me.
I've never been so into a tv drama series, so I have a number of questions for them: How many seasons can you tell a believable story about some dudes and dudettes on an island? Are they going to explain every god-created miracle (ex: killer invisible monster) before it ends? Is something going to finally g*dd*amn happen in Season 2?!?! |

It's excellent, I'm a big fan, it happened the same thing like you, I'm waiting to download the episode 10 from the second season tomorrow night. |

I'm waiting for the finale tomorrow night, and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. It's been a bit slow over the last few weeks though, some occurrances, but no fast paced movement in the story.
That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

yeah, that's why it's much better watching them all within a few days so you get to something good soon :D
llamadance, you'll be wanting to download season 2. when the first season ends you will NOT want to be waiting a few months for the second. if you're like me anyway..

I'd make fun of you, but sadly when I was in Greece I got into Desperate Housewives as a result of staying with three female cousins. I'm now hopelessly hooked on that. So maybe I'll check out Lost, too...

Steve, do they explain why it's only the men that landed on the island who were ugly? (apart from harold perrineau jr) |

hey I’m a LOST geek! Can I join in! I did a similar thing about two weeks ago. Heard good things about the show but never saw it so the mrs and I rented the 1st season series on dvd and love it! Watched it non stop. It’s very addicting. Over here in Canada we’re midway through season 2 and the dvd’s aren’t out yet. So I tried downloading them but it takes forever and rarely works. I don’t think I have the right software. But I was able to get the first 2 shows then just read the recaps on the lost website for the shows I haven’t yet seen. I think show 10 season 2 is on tomorrow night.
way better than desperate houswives. and dean- you'll appreciate that one of the main writers is a huge star wars fan.
Also check out the forum at - http://www.lost-tv.com/ Some really cool theories out there.
later i'll cut and paste some of them and pretend they're my own.

yeah i wanna get cracking with some theories but there's at least one fan here who won't have even seen season 1 until tomorrow night. and there's no spoiler tag on these forums :(
the first few episodes of season 2 answers so many more questions than the whole of seasn 1 probably.. it's great.

Yep LOST is excellent, I think its actually better that they are taking their time with it, rather than exposure after exposure every week. Seen 1st 4 eps of S2 so far and I have a burning desire to watch the next 5 i've downloaded.

Do I need to watch the first series in order to appreciate the second one fully? I assume so.

Last night's latest episode (season 2) restored my faith in the show. So many flashbacks of killing people... I'm beginning to feel that I gotta kill a man to really have a story to tell.

I pretty much skipped season 1 because I didn't think I had the time, but gave into the hype and started watching season 2. It's good. Real good. I just hope they don't pull an X Files and not have a plan. I think they do. I think they know where the story is going or what the underlying story is.
Now that I've got Netflix. I'm going to watch season 1. |

i'm pretty sure they knew what the island was all about from the beginning. however, they may choose to explain it over more seasons than they could, which would be a shame.
