Has anybody else seen this amazing movie?! I highly recommend to everybody that likes good movies. I didn't like The Brown Bunny as much, Vincent Gallo kicked a lot of ass with Buffalo 66. I can't wait until he directs another movie. Bye bye.

What's reversal film?
That was a good movie. Too bad the guy can't just relax and make more good films. How many think the indie director in Entourage is based on Gallo? |

Check out Prozac Nation. She shows them there.
I'm sure the women in this forum appreciate that. |

reversal film is like slide film in still photographs. instead of having a negative you just have a print. it's really risky to shoot film that way because you have no leeway as far as colors, darkening/brightening etc in color timing. you have to expose it perfectly or else you're fucked. |

by the way, i love BUFFALO 66 too. i haven't seen BROWN BUNNY because i've heard nothing but extremely negative things, but i am curious to see it (for the obvious reasons, and because i'm curious in general).
Lance Acord, the cinematographer, is an artist. did you know that that's the first film to use the "bullet time" effect, popularized by THE MATRIX? |

This film is one of my all time favourites. Vincent Gallo rocks. As Does Christina Ricci.
Question: Do you pronounce Ricci - Richy or Ricky? Ive had many debates with people over this.
Also, Gallo is actually a really nice guy. I met him in 2004 at the All tomorrows parties festival. He stole the sonic youth set list for my friend who passed out at the front (crushing crowd...she couldnt breathe).

It's pronounced "ritchie," as in Lionel, and another reason I love that movie is it captured her pre-anorexia look, breastesses and all.
Now what's the bullet-time effect? Floop, you should start a "Uncle Floop's Everything You Wanted To Know About Cinemetographic Terms But Were Too Clueless To Ask" thread.

Well it's also the proper way to pronounce it in Italian, a language Americans butcher all the time.

In fairness, they also butcher English, though.
But seriously, i live with an italian guy. He was going to go to university in america, and when i was asking him why he chose hear he said "The americans ruin my language. I dont understand what they say. When english people try to sppeak italian or french, they sound sexy - the americans sound like fools"

I've always heard it pronounced more like "reachie."

no, gallo was playign the same festival - sonic youth headlining. He was in the back stage bit, but when we managed to get my friend out of the crowd to the side, we could see in to the backstage - and he saw us, and came over and asked if she was alright. Then we said the one thing that would make her alright would be a sonic youth set list. So he grabbed one when they finished playing. hehe. was funny.
Also when gallo was playing, i was at the front, and in front of the barrier - between the stage and the crowd, PJ Harvey was watching. that was pretty cool.

I thought this was a great movie also. There is some great dialogue in it. One of my favorite scenes is when he gets into the car after kidnapping Christina and says "I can not dirve a shifter car. I drive cars that shift themselves. Ever heard of a Cadillac...Cadillac El Dorado." It makes me want to go watch that movie right now.
