These came after the US had already clinched a spot in Germany with a win over Mexico, thus the second stringers. Pretty good for the youngsters to pull a tie in Guatamala.

I think you should all be glad that I haven't brought in the success and might of the Scottish football team to this discussion.
As for spelling, it's whisky, not whiskey (unless it's Irish or some other nefarious pretender)

That's an interesting table you have there, placing the US over Mexico not on points, nor on goals scored, nor even on goals conceded, but on a better defence... That's pretty unusual, I'd say Mexico should be above USA on a couple of counts.

Mexico is well above the USA, except when both teams play against each other. They have such a sense of inferiority towards the USA that they lose every time. It's weird.

It's a cut and paste from fifa.com. I don't know the rationale, but perhaps it's because the US beat Mexico 2-0 and Mexico won 2-1. |

Like "cubbard." How do you say it in your neck of the woods?
As per another thread, it's annoying when people misspell Edgar Allan Poe's middle name.
And finally, American and European football are both sports, and therefore both suck. QED.

If it wasn't for sport, none of us would be sitting here right now.
... Let me tell you something, pendejo. You pull any of your crazy shit with us, you flash a piece out on the lanes, I'll take it away from you, stick it up your ass and pull the fucking trigger 'til it goes "click." Nobody fucks with the Jesus. |
