What commonly unintentionally misspelled words do you often notice?
I find that people repeatedly misspell the same words over and over again, on forums, IM, PM, blogs, emails and such, and it's like the sound of nails scratching when I see it. I'm not talking about accidents or typos on intentional ones like pwned, although I fucking hate a lot of those too, (u kno wuz I pretti b talkin bout u azzklown)? I'm talking about words people need to learn how to spell correctly. For your own good. This is educational. Please contribute.
I'll start.
1. Camera, not camara

I need to learn how to spell almost every english word over four letters. Spanish is much easier because you can sound it out. |

As far as Spanish being easier, can you spell neumonoultramicroscopicosiliciovolcanconiosis ?

Sense not sence
This is the most common and annoying one I see in forums. I mean c'mon, it's just common sence isn't it? |

A lot of people seem to spell "grammar" as "grammer," which doesn't work unless you're talking about Kelsey. The somewhat ironic thing is that people do this when correcting other people's grammar, which is rather hypocritical.

By the same token, grammar is different to spelling, so technically, technically, it's not really hypocritical at all.

It is hypocritical because they are mispelling a word whilst attempting to correct someones else's. What you mean is it's not really ironic. |

On that note, here's a conundrum:
using "your" instead of "you're"
Is that a problem of spelling, punctuation or grammar?

i would say it's a grammar problem. if i say "your an asshole" and i mean to say "you are an asshole," i'm not misspelling or mispunctuating "your"
the same would be if i said "you're mom's a whore": not a spelling or puncutation mistake, but context/grammar. |

unless they are waiting for confirmation of a bowel movement, then it's septical.

no one said Definitely, not Definately or it's multitude delinquent offspring. Spell that one right from now on or jump off a cliff into the spinning blades of a hovering helicopter.
Also, if you say offspringS, you should never be allowed to have kids.

I guess this seemed like a pretty random question. I was just curious because it always seems to me that Americans can't pronounce 'aluminium' correctly.
And no, I'm not related to PixieSteve.
