While the server issues are being resolved, let us recall what we miss about each of the forumers who can't log on.
I miss Denis' love of REM, all his rhapsodizing posts and threads expressing his love of that great band.
I miss Surfer's presence, if only so that I am not the only crazy woman on this board.
Am I the only one who misses Carl's smiley faces?
Who do you miss?

Doog definately. I need help with some tabs.
It's kind of strange not seeing all those names you recognise, even if you don't talk to them. And at times the active FB threads has outnumbered those of General Chat.

I'm around and looking into it, but as neither Dave nor I have been able to replicate the problem, it's difficult for us to diagnose. It's working as well on a dialup in Greece as it is on high speed in Victoria.
A good test that would help point us in the right direction would be if someone who's having forum problems at one location (yet, still obvoiusly able to read/post in another so they could see this) would check thenoisies.com since it's a site on the same server. If the same problem exists (or doesn't), we'll have narrowed things down quite a bit.
If anyone fits this description and would be willing to tell me what happens and/or elaborate on the error page that comes up, it would certainly help. I suspect the problems will probably last through the weekend, however, I'm sorry.

I emailed Nic, Denis, Llamasteve and Carl asking them to try that. Can anybody think of anybody else who is having similar problems? (So far both Steve and Carl say they can't access thenoisies either. I hope this helps you guys solve the problem.)

Ahh, so there were forum problems. When I managed to get back I found millions of new posts and feared it was a problem at my end. The forum only started working again here (London) at around 6pm...
