I'll start off with Western Star and mention that he even includes the french version of the word.

So,

1. Western Star

Which others?

Does he mention that 'it's a long way across all of this black' in Southern Bay? The people that made the trip with him couldn't go on because they couldn't handle the black. Or am I confusing songs?

Big Red -- "it's a long way across of all this black"

Brian's right. So Hard To Make Things Out -- " some went back, they couldn't face the black, and they're going back today with their personal things"

Other songs, obviously, Men in Black and Old Black Dawning

Also, Strange Goodbye -- "I used to walk in a big black cloud"

Thank you people. I am sitting here at work trying as hard as possible to get the tune in my head but it was too difficult with all of these sharks feeding on the scrappel.

There has to be a reference of black on the first album. What is it? Is it in Adda Lee?

Comin' through in the clutch. Thanks Kathryn.
Well, I am off. Talk to ya'll tomorrow.
I think I am going to listen to my b-sides and rarities to see what references might be in them. Have we covered each album?

over blacktop soft beneath the sun - So. Bay

I doubt anyone will find another song that wasn't on an official album, I think the only one without a mention is DW.

Yeah, here's one from DITS. I found this one in the song database here at fb.net

DOG IN THE SAND
Where the water glows
Where the water glows
Bluish all in black
Where the forest grows

I want to go back (x2)

Ah scruvs. I thought about it all night and remembered Changing of the Guard and now you, the ruiner have already mentioned it. Good call though. I realized that there were many references to black, but never this many.
