Yeah, I don't whip their records out too often but as a live band, they are a lot of fun. Lord knows they been at it long enough! Last time I saw them Gordon Gano's mom was in the crowd and he kept asking her if his guitar solo's were "having the proper effect". |

Violent Femmes - Irish show 25 November 2005 Violent Femmes for Vicar Street show It has been announced that Violent Femmes will play live at Vicar Street on Saturday 25 February.
Violent Femmes - singer/guitarist Gordon Gano, bassist Brian Ritchie and percussionist Victor DeLorenzo - were founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the early 1980s.
Their self-titled 1983 debut contained the hit 'Blister in the Sun' and turned them into an American cult band.
Since then Violent Femmes have released a total of ten albums and travelled the world, playing in over 400 cities in 40 countries in venues including Carnegie Hall, Woodstock, the Royal Albert Hall and even visiting the North Pole for the northernmost concert in rock history.
Tickets for Violent Femmes at Vicar Street are €30 and are available through Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide. |

I saw em in the Olympia in 2000, they put on a great show. Have they cleaned the Olympia yet, by the way?

Seeing them in Feb will be my fifth time to see them, such a great show.
Also for irish fans - they are playing 2 dates - one in Dublin (25th) and one in Galway on the 24th. |
