Carl (A.C.) Newman from the New Pornographers fronted Zumpano. I've never heard their stuff, but i hear it is excellent.

Over to Limewire I go.
EDIT: Managed to get Throwing Stars only. It's OK. Seemed a bit MOR at times, but certainly not bad. I will definitely look out for more on there.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Look for a song called "The Party Rages On". Power pop at it's finest...

Both of their albums are great. "Look What the Rookie Did" and "Goin Through Changes" The latter is more refined and better in my opinion. They were one of my favorite bands in college. Imagine a more laid back and sparse sounding version of New Pornographers.
Will I ever reach 1000?

Zumpano... love them.
In high school, I bought one of their T-shirts. "Making girls cry since 1992"
The second album is definately tight. The first was great also, but sloppy. Lots of improvised 2nd guitar solos while the singer would sing. Jazzy solos, but very white.
