31st. On the ticket it says doors open at 6pm. Bit early isn't it? Anyone know how long the Pixies are likely to be on for?
And about the venue, 2000-space free car park, sounds handy...will be driving up from Wales. I've heard the capacity is pretty big? Is it easy to find? Will it be signposted on the North Circular road?
Can't wait, will be my 4th time seeing the best band ever!! |

Avec: it's just up the road from me, and chances are it'll be signposted. However: here's my easy route. Come off the North Circ at the Clocktower Junction in Palmers Green (hang a right). Travel down to Wood Green tube station, and turn right there, up the hill past Alexandra Palace railway station. Turn left up the hill at the mini-roundabout over the bridge. Thats probably the easiest route.

tempted. but if i couldn't fly to the other side of australia to see them play last month, i kinda think the other side of the world is an option. i'll just listen to the new album (which is very good i must add) and their live recordings from this tour to appease me.
oh, thats right, i said i'd burn you some copies of live sigur ros didn't i? do you remember which ones cause i'll do 'em on my next break.

cheeseman, do you really think a chav would like the pixies or frank black
let's see
Typical features of the stereotype include:
The wearing of particular clothing, such as Scallywear, brand name athletic clothing and shoes (stereotypically, "prison-white" trainers / trainers / Reebok Classics), and for females stilettos. own hardly any sports clothes, and i'll only wear what i do have indoors for comfort
Fake designer clothing and accessories, in particular the distinctive tartan of Burberry. never worn burberry
A love of "bling", that is, gaudy gold jewellery (in particular hoop earrings and large dangling golden clowns on chains for females and gold sovereign rings for males, stereotypically purchased from Argos). never worn jewellery
Sports caps and "hoodies" (hooded tops); often both are worn, the hood pulled up over the baseball cap, thus obscuring the features from security cameras. have a sports cap that i might wear on a beach or if it's sunny to prevent my head burning (like you probably do, baldy). own a couple of hoodies that i might wear when it's colder - do not walk with hoody on unless raining/cold
Sports or jogging trousers, often tucked into white sports socks, so as to show off the sports label on the socks which would otherwise be hidden. These are also referred to as tracky b's or trackies. never tucked trousers into socks, only own one pair of jogging trousers. do not have socks with sports label.
For females, thickly applied make-up, the heavy use of fake tan, and the hairstyle known as the "Council House Facelift" or "Croydon Facelift" in which the hair is pulled back into a tight bun or ponytail. not a girl
An association with crass, drunken behaviour and minor criminal activities including unprovoked attacks on members of the public (see happy slapping), generally carried out under the influence of cheap alcohol such as White Lightning or Lambrini, and often after the pubs have closed. not a heavy drinker and i am generally not aggressive when drunk, never attacked someone or been in a fight, never drunk white lightning.
An association with housing estates and other low-income neighbourhoods. i live near some poor housing estates (this is slough we're talking about) but personally my family is as middle class as you can get.
The ownership of a large, dangerous attack dog and a heavily modified car (known as a 'Chavmobile'), usually of low original specification, but decorated in the style seen in the film The Fast and the Furious. Typical vehicles include the Vauxhall Nova and Corsa, the Ford Escort and Renault Clio. These vehicles are chosen because of their low initial cost and the ease and relative cheapness of modifying them. i can drive but cannot get insured on my dad's honda cr-v. i have no interest in buying a car. i do not have a dog. i did have a dog once but it wasn't dangerous (just a bit mental).
Usually incorporating a high specification music system with amplified bass. no
A proclivity for under-aged drinking and sex (and, consequentially, an association with teen pregnancy). my parents introduced me to small amounts of alcohol from a young age (eg. wine with a meal). it has a possitive effect on your attitudes towards drinking. i have never gotten a girl pregnant.
Congregating and loitering in areas such as shopping malls, outside off-licences and fastfood carparks. i do not loiter
Violence, verbal abuse and vandalism, often unprovoked. no
An affinity for txt slang no
Suspicion towards anyone who conforms to a different youth culture, often manifesting itself in violence no
most defensive guy of the year maybe, but i enjoyed doing that.

Either is good. I come from Hants myself, I drive home quite regularly - M3 -> M25 -> A40 -> A406 North Circ, and its signposted off there.
