What did they open with? Encores? Did Frank speak in French, throw in a "merci bien" here and there? Did Kim say "Comment allez-vous, motherfuckers," Belfort-stylee?'

They started with Wave of Mutilation (UK) and ended with Wave of Mutilation before coming back with Gigantic.
A lot of emotions, they stayed very long on the stage at the end of the gig before finally playing Gigantic as a bis....
That was gorgeous... |

They haven't played Alec Eiffel since the San Francisco show for this tour. And I didn't want to go because I thought they wouldn't play so much off Trompe and Bossa... I'm dumb. |

I thought I would have time to make a proper review today but I didn't. A couple of important things though, that made this night the more special:
- When they started Alec Eiffel I saw a shooting star. I kid you not. My wife saw it too. - At the end of a song, don't remember when, Frank or Joey played a few notes that I knew, without being able to recall which song they were from. I just had the answer: it was the end of Bullet, instrumental version from the Crime & Punishment soundtrack. See what I'm talking about? I heard 5 seconds of Bullet at a Pixies gig! Yeah! - The setlist, unordered except the first 4 and the last 12 or so:
Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf) In Heaven Where Is My Mind Here Comes Your Man I Bleed La La Love You Subbacultcha Nimrod's Son The Holiday Song Stormy Weather The Sad Punk Monkey Gone To Heaven Vamos Hey Is She Weird Allison River Euphrates Head On Isla de Encanta U Mass Broken Face Caribou Planet Of Sound Alec Eiffel Gouge Away Tame Debaser Wave Of Mutilation -- Gigantic
- Kim has the cutest haircut and I fell in love with her. Again. - Joey did even cooler tricks than last year. A-fucking-mazing. - Frank Black. Frank. Black. - The show started much too slowly and WIMM & HCYM were half-butchered. After that it was pure madness. I didn't know they played La La Love You and Allison, and I almost died when I heard the first notes. - Queens Of The Stone Age played right before them and they weren't half bad either. Josh Homme introduced a song saying "This is my favorite song, so I'll dedicate it to the Pixies cause they're my favorite band!" - I'm fucking exhausted.

This man just drives me crazy. I went crazy on that night... But Pixies gigs are far too crowded. Let's hope for a new Catholics european tour so we can smell his breath again.

I don't agree with you Queens of the stone age was the best gig of the festival just behind the Pixies. They really rocked the stage.
Franz Ferdinand were damn good too. |

Hello. Is there anyone noticed that this concert will be played on MCM (french channel) next sunday ? I will tape it but is there anyone planning to record it on hard disc. Dave Noisy did such a fantastic job on the Eurokéennes concert... |

and what did it turn out like zed?
and to clear it up - it wasn't Dave Noisy who did the Eurokéennes concert, but Dave Chapman.

I've just realised that this show was recorded by pixiesdiscs.
So I don't think it's appropriate to torrent or trade my recording of the TV broadcast. You can buy the CDs of the performance here:

They don't mind cause this set is from video. They had arguments about Belfort '04 set cause it has to be released on DVD.
BUT this set isn't a dvd release. So you can torrent your version.
I told to pixiesdiscs.com mod about that. So trust me

i don't think that should stop you trading it - as huntingwolf said, it's not as though it's the same source and format etc. but won't some torrent sites, like dimeadozen.org not allow it to be torrented if there's audio also released officially..... or am i misunderstanding the rules.
but regardless, i'd love a copy.....pretty please.

Seed this show on Trackers like Dime might be not allowed by the site's rules, you're right.
BUT you can spread it on purelivegigs.com for sure. Many people would be happy to get it there.
Or on thetradersden.org .............
