The Pixies and Frank were at a crappy little stadium in Ireland, Dublin.
There might have been a long wait and two crap bands to listen to but with a care-free atmosphere we all soldiered on to hear our idols tell us their stories.
I was in the first pit, exhausted, but when I saw those beautiful people walk onto the stage a magical energy took me over, I felt so honoured to be in the presence of Charlse, Dave, Kim, and Joey that I burst into tears. They played their classics, something that would be suicide to any other band for actual fans, but they put that assumption to death.
I feel sorry that the stage had a typically stupid slant on it... It being a relatively CRAP day and rains before hand Frank was just under that roof. Whatever it was, possibly the bass that shook it off, but Frank was showered in rain water. Of course... We LOVED it!

Still.... I haven't stopped crying. Writing this, and remembering it vividly has drawn tears again.
But all in all..... I have no fuss to make if I died tomorrow. lol. I saw the people who have saved me from my mellow-dramatic suicidal tendancies, my life no longer has no meaning.
Unless..... Frank were to be in Ireland (Galway perferably) and we were to cross paths. I have to pay back the debt some how! Perhaps a nice pint of Guiness!

lead guitar was still way too low and it ruined many of the songs...
im sorry but as much as we all love the pixies (joey's guitar was mixed very low)...
some songs you could bearly even hear it.....

pheonix park gig was definitely better (sound quality).... all the frank black gigs and the pixies gig in london last year were belted out but this time TAME was actually TAME....

sorry guys (i was sorta dissappointed)

i have to admit i was disappointed with the sound - i could barely hear joey and I was around 50 feet in front of the sound tent towards the stage. still - it was a great gig though, much better than last years one anyway.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Sound was decidedly poor, vocals and lead guitar. One of the people i was at the show with had never heard the pixies before, and i was disappointed because in my opinion that show would not have won a non-fan over - entirely due to the sound.

and i was right up front.. not in pit but as far front as you could be without being there.

I have to agree, I was in the Pit and it still lacked punch...It's sad to say the RHCPs support gig sounded better. You could hold a full conversation without having to shout Then again the people from the EPA were there with their decibel meters

Anyone rember the last time you saw the Pixies or FB (even acoustic) and left without ringing in your ears...sadly the t'was last Tuesday

my ears were killing me after the gig - although that did turn out to be an inner ear infection :(
