We're more than halfway through - so which 5 have stood out the most to you so far?
Fantomas - Suspended Animation Pelican - The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw Red Sparowes - At The Soundless Dawn Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman I'm A Machine

Tough for me to answer to this question, as I bought exactly 5 albums released in 2005. So here they are, but I can't say they're the best albums of this year (they're all excellent though):
Frank Black - Honeycomb Los Hermanos - On Another Level Smog - A River Ain't Too Much To Love Kraftwerk - Minimum - Maximum Laurent Garnier - The Cloud-Making Machine
I'll add M.I.A.'s album which is fantastic but that I haven't bought yet. And among the CDs I still haven't got but that are on my wishlist: Juan Atkins - The Berlin Sessions Octave One - The Theory Of Everything Recloose - Hiatus on the Horizon Transglobal Underground - Impossible Broadcasting Marco Passarani - Sullen Look Arcade Fire - Funeral (I think it was rerelased this year in France) Malkmus - Face The Truth Bob Mould - Body Of Song Ali Farka Touré & Toumani Diabaté - In The Heart Of The Moon

The Decemberists - Picaresque Low - Great Destroyer Smog and Sufjan Stevens, good records but I tend to skip through quite a few tracks.
I am now certain to buy the Fantomas, 50 Foot Wave and Trial Of Dead cds thanks to this thread.

Wheeeheeeeee!
Offerw - the Fantomas album is truly something as always - it's their children's album featuring noises from cartoons (and the standard genius Patton nimble larynx work) - recorded at the same time as Delirium Cordia (their death album) and each track is a tribute to the month of April.

Really? I lost his show two months ago. He broke a guitar string and didn't have a replacement so the gig end up after two songs with people getting mad at him, the organization giving people's money back and sad stuff like this. I think he'll never come back here

But we didn't buy the same CDs. If we lived together we'd had 10 new records! How cool would that be?
