C'mon. We know you don't watch that crap on MTV but surely there are some music videos you like to check out on your computer or wherever.
What are some of your faves? Provide a link, if you can.

I swear to you that if I could afford it I'd be all day flicking between MTV2 and a couple of others doing nothing but watching music videos.
I like the hunted by a freak video: http://www.matadorrecords.com/mogwai/music.html
and for a dear departed friend, I also like the Breathless video http://www.musicremedy.com/audio/2569

Totally off topic, today at the gym I spied yet another annoying video on MTV. Some girl with unruly hair and one of those trendy hippie skirts and a boom box. Turns out it was Simon's own Natasha Bedingfield.
Sorry, Simon! : (
I have sooo many fave videos. I love the one of the Pixies at that stadium in Holland doing Allison, you know the one where they have headphones on. Coolsville. Some of the Pixies videos were a little weird but this one's righteous with all that black going on and them in that big stadium.
I also like Slow Hands because of all the close-up shots of Paul Banks' perfect pearly whites. That video makes me wanna go to dental school.

Sugarcube - Yo La Tengo
I maintain this to be one of the finest videos of all time. Malkmus has also done some greats ones, like Jo Jo's Jacket and Dark Wave.

The new Weezer one is great, We're all on Drugs (I think thats what it's called and I think it's off the new album). Just some crumby 80's metal video/film with their song played over it. I thought it was a mistake when I first saw it!

i nearly started a thread like this t'other day...i like music vids. it's too bad there isn't a television channel that shows music videos anymore. (wails and gnashes teeth.)
i have always liked these: early eurythmics vids nine inch nails. pinion. my name is mud. primus (les' hick-smile makes me laugh) FB. headache. (the fake band is righteous. as is the el camino) bjork. human behaviour. doors. l.a. woman. (cool mustang--and i don't like mustangs) et al...
my fave would have to be the pinball song from sesame street. |

You're right that one rocks!
I would have to say my tastes go back to when MTV actually had videos... so 80s. I love the pixies vids and Nirvana had some good ones.

I was just thinking of that song earlier! Very well done, that video! The Stranglers Golden Brown is a personal favorite....and Primus have some cool videos. Funnily enough, perhaps the only crappy thing about The Pixies is some of they're videos, not that they had much money to spend! :D |

Damn, I can't believe no one mentioned the B-Boys' "Sabatoge". I frickin' love that one. Nirvana-In Bloom Talking Heads-Once in a Liftime David Lee Roth-Yankee Rose, this one is fucking hilarious! Dave sticking his crotch in the camera, an absolute 80's classic!
If you guys have access to VH1 Classic I highly recommend it. Every video that should have never been made (so bad that they're good!) as well as some really good alternative vids are always in rotation. |

For some reason I always really liked Soundgarden videos. Kind of abstract. Like in "Burdon in my Hand" it's just the band with no instruments walking around in the desert and a Stealth fighter keeps flying over them. Don't know about the BHS vid Toba, I seem to always remember the "stretchies" being there. |

I only ever remember seeing the stretchy version and thats certainly the only version you can get hold of nowadays. I'm sure I would still love the video without the stretchies though, probably more so as it would age much better.
You can add bjork-human behaviour to my list as well, I love that video. Nice work Tobafett.

Is it wrong to think Jack Black is attractive?
and just to be very obvious:
sorry, but you know you can't talk about music videos without it being mentioned.
Also:
imitation of life was quite clever
I'm really struggling with this, there's loads I like and I can't think of any
