Don't get me started. I love'em. Seen them 16 times.

There are many iconic visuals of the Ramones:

But none as great as this one:

I feel an Impromptu Ramones quiz coming on!

What was the last song Joey heard before he died?

These ones are fairly easy, if you're a Ramones fan:

Who was the oldest Ramone?
Who was the youngest Ramone?
Where did they get their name from?
What is the real name of Marsist's favorite Ramone, Dee Dee?

Close, no cigar. McCartney actually went by the name Paul Ramone before the Beatles hit it big.

I never loved the Ramones. I bought an album because of ramona. So disapointed! This is punk in its worst (then best for some) incarnation.
When I heard it, it felt like rough demos of the very first Depeche Mode album... (besides the words...) I managed to understand the connexion between punk and new wave... Though not the best point of view.

Gimme some Stooges!!!!

The Ramones are (were) excellent. One of the very first bands I liked, I was about 9 or 10 and each time I went to see my older cousins, I would ask them to put on the Ramones.

Each time I put on a Ramones record it is like a blast from the past - my marvellous childhood.

Oh, sorry to interrupt the love-fest between you and Joey.

Denis, a true fan would have slapped that DVD right into the machine and watched it immediately, not waited a fucking month.

Totally- the Ramones punk at its worst? Yeah, right. They invented it.
'End of Century' (the film) is fantastic, too.

I did put it in the DVD player and watched little bits of it (the Space Ghosts episode and a couple of live songs) but I never have time to watch DVDs. Do I have to remind you that my Pixies DVD is still unopened after more than a year?

But how many Charlie Sheen movies have you managed to watch in that time?

Again I ask, you call yourself a fan?

"What can you do? What can you do?
With a brat like that, always on your back
What can you lose?"

the Ramones have my musical respect.

But the Misfits are really where it's at!!! same Ramones-y punk attack, WAY better lyrics, way better songs. They are arguably the best of the "classic" punk rock bands.

I read in a book that Joey always said he was born in May of 1952 when it was actually May of 1951, making Joey the oldest Ramone, not Johnny.

It's also been speculated that the name derived from producer Phil Ramone, whom they liked.

I used to love the Ramones. Having heard David Bowie's "Hang On To Yourself", I've lost a bit of adoration for them.

I would say second, after the Saints.

But yeah, the Ramones are cool. 'Today Your Love, Tommorrow The World, just genius.
