A thread where we could explore and share our various feelings about clowns.
Let us begin with a question:
why do some people fear clowns?
My 3-year-old recently developed an out-and-out phobia about clowns. They terrify the poor thing. Anybody else had that happen as a child?

Why are we having another clowns thread so soon?
Don't believe the type!

A clown is a real incarnation of a man. It's all tragic, grotesque funny or sad. As every man is scary inside (or outside) all the more is the clown...

Damn!
Oh well, at least I have something to post in the "when was the last time you embarrassed yourself" thread.
Seriously, though, all of a sudden my kid is terrified of clowns. Did that happen to anybody as a kid? If so, why does that occur? And how does one overcome one's fear of clowns? I am looking for help here, people.

You could dress yourself up as a clown, then show her there is nothing to be afraid of. :)

Start a new thread called 'Embarassing Things', and everyone can just fill it with pictures of clowns-unfunny, creepy wankers! |

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! This did make me laugh. But don't take the advice, Kathryn.
Personally, I've never understood the fear of clowns. I know so many people who just flip out and lose it with clowns. I just think they're stupid (clowns, that is). Some of it had to do with that inane Stephen King miniseries 'IT', which I just found to be utterly unscary. I wonder if those who suffer the affliction find Ronald McDonald mezmerizingly terrifying. If so, they need to be locked in a room with a clown.

I've never been scared of clowns, but I can see why other people are. There's something creepy about them.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |
