Right you are. It was on "Rubaiyiat," Elektra's 40th anniversary cover compilation.

Indeed, although I wouldn't hold my hand in a fire for that spelling. It was a double-disc affair with lots of Elektra-signed artists, covering other Elektra-artists. The Pixies covering Paul Butterfield Blues Band was obviously the most interesting track. It also included Billy Bragg covering Love's 7 & 7 = (great), and the Cure doing the Doors' Hello I love you (avarage). I rented it from the library at the time, and hometaped several tracks of it, but those are the only ones I still remember. Oh wait, there's also an hideous version of Motorcycle Mama by the Sugarcubes, of which my brother said it gave him nightmares. But later, he became a Bjork fan anyway (don't know if he knew the link). Well, so much for this boring lecture.

I actually like that Sugarcubes cover. Bjork really tears it up!

I saw Bjork at a hype Fisherspooner concert... this little bad looking gnome girl came close to me as a friend was like "Whoua Bjork! I can't beleive...blabla! And I replied out loud "I never heard one of her songs... nothing you could call a song!" She heard me and turned round and we looked at each others... I began to blush... happily she did not scorched my eyes... and left as many people was around her...

Well, no interest, just wanted to show my dispise toward her...

Christie Hynde does that with Neil Young on the live album Road Rock. Never heard that version, either!
