i like it.

get stuff done.

go to supermarket. post office. email for work. ice cream.
cartoons. MUSIC. laundry. MUSIC.

many many posts. (is there anyway to chart one's posts on here? e.g. tobafett posts 85% of his posts after 11 pm US CST). just curious. it's those kinda thoughts that kept me out of the good schools. and keep me awake.

i like it. sleep sucks.

Tre, you win some kind of prize. It's only 1 a.m. here. I'd rather be up and listening to music and watching videos and taking a bath than sleeping...not that I could sleep if I tried.

Good point, Toby. People hear "insomnia" and start pitying you but it's a gift not to need much sleep. You have all this extra time to putter about.

insomnia is an illness, I hate it and suffer really badly from it, people say oh you get to read or watch films or surf the internet, but its been about 5 years since I had a good nights sleep.

I'm sorry it's so hard on you, Domestiques. I didn't mean to sound flippant about it, for me it is a positive thing... she says having bolted awake after 4 hours of sleep, raring to go.

I'm generally pretty good at sleeping for significant lengths of time, but I've actually been having some trouble as of late. Maybe it has something to do with the wildly fluctuating weather.

No I dont mind flippancy, I have always had problems with my sleep, I also have night terrors which is bad aswell, and I am used to the insomnia, my wife is as well.

You have my sympathies, I've always had trouble with sleep I was saying the other day, If I don't get to sleep I won't get to sleep, If I get to sleep I'll have these vivid freaky dreams or wake up in a panic after a couple of hours (it's why i have to sleep with a light on) and if I get to sleep and don't dream I'll wake up and not be able to get to sleep. It's not all the time, sometimes I'll go through phases of fairly 'normal' sleep but it's weird more than it's normal.

you're looking like an idiot

File this under "Things One Learns On The Forum":

until this thread I assumed that people enjoyed insomnia, considered it bonus time to do fun stuff; I didn't realize that some of you suffer because of it and wish you were asleep. Best of luck to you.

Yeah - Carl. No seriously, my good friend's mom was narcoleptic and more than once my friend had to take the wheel as a young girl when her mom fell asleep. Why do you ask?

Narcolepsy has nothing to do with insomnia or lack of sleep, btw.

I know it doesn't have anything to do with it silly. It just interests me and I have never known anyone who has it or anyone who knows of someone that has it.

Just recently have I had to deal with this.
The thing that sucks is that I am tired.

Does anyone else wonder what kitty would be like if she wasn't chronically sleep deprived?

Funny you should ask. Some water got stuck in it this afternoon at the pool and it kinda hurts. But I haven't cut it off or anything. Yet.
