This is a thread to all the beautiful forum members of FBF.

I think you and the people on here are beautiful because:

  • you are the most hard core frank black fans ever...you have tought me so much about the man and his music-- so many of you
  • you are witty and inteligent-- so many of you.
  • you are cool and have taught me a lot about a lot of cool music (Skatealex)
  • you crack me up and make me laugh out loud(Floop and Kitty)

you have a political awareness that i admire (KOK)
  • If I had the talent you have in one Pinky I'd be set for life (Apl4eris, LBF and Active Duck)
  • you are my first friend here in the Twin Cities (Joshua G)
  • You keep us all posted on everything Frank (OMINCC)
  • You started this beautiful place (Dave Noisy}

You've been a source to trade cool boots! (shall remain nameless )

We can open up and share personal problems and get advise.

You've been a good friend on and off the forum: Kiki

You've given countless hours of your personal time to keep this place going... Dean and Broken Face and everyone else.

Dayanara, Miss A. and our dearly missed Port. friend... for girl talk and bonding.

We know how cool FB is and we share that passion for his music.

Let's keep this going!! Let's keep it positive.

Let's talk about our feelings and get everything out in the open and respect everyone in the process.

Share what makes the people on this forum beautiful.

Daisy, you're awesome. We came to FB.net at the same time and you have 5x the posts that I do. I remember how excited we both were when the Pixies announced that there first show was gonna be in Minny. I'm not from there, but I was more than willing to drive for 4 hours when a kind soul from the forum sold me a ticket for $40 when they were going on ebay for more than $300. I'll always remember his kindness.

daisy, you're awesome and beautiful and great and I am a very distant member of this forum, but would venture to guess that many members are incapable of complying with this request currently...talk about feelings, maybe...get everything out in the open, probably not...respect everyone...well, maybe -if the first request weren't made.

Well put, Kim.

There are several people on this board who mean a lot to me. Dependable friends, with good hearts and twisted senses of humor.
Their great taste in music doesn't begin to speak to their character and sense of fun and integrity.

Very nice, Daisy gets the gold star of the month. =)

I'd like to point out that Dean has done a beautiful job keeping the Forum and site going in my absence, and is one of the coolest people i know.

Also, many, many of you are amazing, and it's amazing to think that we've all been together here for as many as three years now...!! Woot!!

Daisy, since this is the thread where we express love, can you tell me if you saw Bob Mould in Minny over the Fourth, and if you say you did, I won't hate you. I will still love you, Daisy, as well as the girlie tangerine stuff you sent me.

here are some quick recaps:

dean, daisy, eric "echo park" and sir mikeabye, who taught me that meeting people from the internet doesnt' have to be scary, but can be cool

kathryn, kitty, dayanara, tim (athiest4catholics), sir mike and dean again - who prove that real friendships can be made via the internet

tony, nathan, toby, andy, and all the rest who make me laugh all the time

for our friend from portugal who was always super nice to me - even helped me order cds from her native land

all the people who have done the CD swap game for getting me into so many great bands (silence 4, the catholics [the jazz kind, not the FB kind], low, charles mingus, etc)

the old henhouse crew for first making me feel welcome

lastly dave and jim, along with dean, denis, derek, and everyone else whose hard work made this forum what it is. even though some times its frustrating, it is full of great people

I really like Carolynanna and KingPhilbert because they share a common interest with me: Archers of Loaf.

Kathryn, of course, for being so kind to everyone on the forum (except PixieSteve...don't know why)

PixieSteve, SirRockabye, and TheCroutonFuton for keeping the IRC chatroom alive.

KoK, for reasons that should really be obvious.

GypsyDeath, for the same reasons as Kathryn, plus the fact that SHE MADE A MIA THREAD ABOUT ME.

homer's pet monkey, for missing me while I was gone.

atheist4catholics, for his boldness. When my track on the pixies tribute sucked, he came out and told me. He knows what he's doing, and as such, inspired me to use metronomes, use tuners, sing the low D note (I've finally made it there, but I couldn't hit it before), and perform more precisely.

COF, for organizing the tributes.

bumblebeeboywhatever (WHERE THE FECES IS HE?) for taking my "0 out of 10" review on the Pixies tribute so well.

ebbvicious for calling me a "big crybaby", thereby causing me to take a long cold look at myself and re-define the level of pride which I take in myself.

adamwest for similar reasons as ebb.
BLT, for an ineffable awesomeness regarding character.
and, of course...

speedy_m

I'll come up with some more later.

Kathryn is one of the kindest hearted people I've ever known.
Tre is such a character, so interesting and forthright.
I lurve all the people who make this place interesting.
People like LBF.

Gift with prose.... must have been the "how's it going brother bit" that got you, eh?

I like you too carolyn! You're one of the only forum members I've met f'reals, and I got a wacky little walking tour or Edmonton out of the deal.

I like kathryn. She's straight up and down like 6 o'clock. But also twisted in a wonderful way.

I like kitten. She says what she's thinking, and is always thoughtful. Let's not fight!

I like floop. Dude annoyed me sometimes, but that was before I 'understood'. I think he's got the funny.

I'm liking Carl a lot lately. I've been noticing his intelligent, humourous posts more and more.

I like Mike1 (HPM). Class act, nice feller. If I lived in his town, I bet we'd hang. I'd be all "what's this all aboot, eh?" and he'd be all "whilst" and we'd both just laugh. Cause we're like that.

I like Simon (cheeseman). Seems like a good bloke, but I think he's taller than me, so he loses points.

I like mca. Dude says what's on his mind. I want his sun glasses. I am willing to kick his ass for them.

I like surfer. She's all hardcore and shit. She kinda scares me, but in a good way. I feel bad about the whole 80s Matchbox thing.

There's lots more I like, and sometimes for no good reason.

I've never said "aboot" or anything close to it in my life. But I can try.

"Aboot" is sexy and true Canadian. All my Canadian buds say it. I don't get how you can be Canadian and not say "aboot." Shoot, I say it when I'm up there more than a couple days.

speedy, I don't want to hurt you but I am in love with another Bob. Bob Mould.

IceCream, GypsyDeath, and possibly Broken Face are totally cool for saying I'm cool. (Brian gets the "possibly" because I think there's more than one Nathan on the forum, so I don't know that I'm the one in question. Brian is pretty cool even if he didn't mention me, though.)
