Which element are you?
Aristotle classified everything into four elements or humours: earth, wind, fire and water. (Nothing to do with the disco group.)
To be more specific (and gross) Aristotle associated:
• water with the brain and phlegm
• air with the heart and blood
• fire with the liver and yellow bile
• earth with the spleen and black bile
Astrology also classifies the 12 zodiac signs into these four categories:
• Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) tend to be sensitive, intuitive, emotional, feeling and receptive
• Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) can be abstract, logical, reasonable, but impractical at times
• Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagitarius) are usually forceful, charismatic and enthusiastic
• Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) are for the most part slow, solid and reliable
Fire and air turn outwardly, reaching up and out; earth and water are inward elements, and turn downward.
Which element do you most identify with?
I'm a fire sign but I dislike hot weather and I adore everything related to water, i.e. swimming.

I am earth. My sign is Taurus with an Aquarian rising. I don't like change, I am dependable and loyal and all that.
Wait, I think it's Aquarian rising, we were all a bit loaded when we dug out the 'sun & moon' signs book a few weeks ago....will double check.

I have a water sign. I don't know how well that description fits me, though. I'm not very intuitive at all.
At least I get to be associated with phlegm, though.

I'm a pisces but I don't know what my other rising sign stuff is. Need to do some more research. By the way, an acquaintance of mine mentioned a book called something like sexual horoscopes or sexoscope or something. Whatever he said I could not find on the internet, but he said there are specific places to touch someone depending on their sign-it can be as innocuous as massaging their back in a certain place, and he said that every time he has tried it, it has been like putting gasoline on a fire if you know what I mean. Has anyone heard anything about such a book? (the guy's out of town right now).

I am actually a Taurus, Capricorn rising, so I guess I'm all earth.
Is there a way to apply the knowledge that I am assocated with black bile? Is it meant to be predictive of any sort of predisposition? |

I meant, with which element do you most identify?
Despite being a fire sign, I dislike heat (esp. hot weather). I don't like air (abhor flying). I'm indifferent toward the earth. But I ADORE water; I feel a strong, emotional and physical affinity toward it, almost a spiritual obsession.
