Does FB have a MySpace profile? That would be another way to get the word out. The Flaming Lips, NIN, Weezer, Billy Corgan, and a load of other artists promote themselves on MySpace and I think there are 22 million users on the site if I read correctly. I posted a brief HONEYCOMB review and sent it out. |

Honeycomb is record of the week at the only decent radio station when it comes to pop/rock/etc music here in Berlin, RadioEINS. I was about to write them an email suggesting to make Honeycomb rotw since its the new FB with great storys and songs on it and a nice history to tell. Only to discover that from today on, it is! How cool.
So, for the next week HC will get presented every day (and I think a few times a day). They tell something about the artist and the making of the record, play some interview-bits, talk about one particular song and in the end play that song. And in some record stores the current RadioEins record of the week (perhaps even the older ones) gets presented, so that you can listen to the CD and radio-reviews over headphones.
Browsing the playlists of last weeks evening(music)shows I found out, that they were playing HC all the time: Sing for joy, Lone child, Dark end of the street, Selkie Bride and Song of the shrimp (three times in a row, to compare it with Elvis´ and Towns Van Zandt´s versions). I heard nothing of it. Must have been bad luck.
