...the WORST cold! Out of the blue! Temperature high, sweating, couldn't breath because my nose and throat were so stuffed up, body aches...man oh man, I started to panic I was so short of breath! But I showed up to work anyway and am sitting here on FB.Net. One of my co-workers called me this morning to tell me he was so sick he had to stay home...which is odd, that we both caught this thing. HOWEVER...I really like fevers because it makes you feel sooooooo stoned and loopy...and the best part about high fevers is when you lay down in the TOTAL dark. You're system just completely shuts you down emotionally so it can fight off the invaders without emotional and mental hassle, so my theory is that it kind of creates a temporary euphoria to hide the wars going on within. Plus the dreams you have are extravagantly cool! I'm so happy I'm sick! Please feel free to regale us all with high-fever stories! They are the best!

when i was a child, I had a fever and my pinky finger seemed to grow to the size of a school bus. i recall just staring at it wondering how i'd get onto a school bus when i had a schoolbus finger. |

Hahahaha! That was a good story to point out!
I was five and I had such a high temperature I hallucinated for hours. It was scary, but I was transfixed. I woke up in the night to find my room was rampant with creatured and bugs and robots. The noises were as clear as a bell too! Better than any drug I've ever tried! It got a bit overwhelming when the clothes sprawled over my desk chair resembled a mummy that began to get agitated. And when I looked out my door from my bed into the hallway, a dinosaur walked by. I was obsessed with Land of the Lost at that age, so seeing a dinosaur was completely within the norm. Suddenly all the lights went on and everything dissapeared. The dino was my mom coming to check why I was having such loud conversations with nothing. She worked for a while to make me understand that what I was seeing was not real and to try to ignore it. Yeah right. As soon as the lights went back off, the dark was illuminated with Bosch-like apparitions again. I was amazed and followed a little beautiful gift (present) with wings into my parents room, who then became very concerned. I was taken to the hospital and dunked in ice until my temp. broke. That sucked.
Last night I was having a cool high-temperature induced dream that I was in the original The Manchurian Candidate film, hanging out with Laurence Harvey. It was like I was acting in it, but it was a for-real situation simultaneously. When it came time for him to blow his head off at the end, I was horrified to see that they had actually originally had it much gorier. They put a false hairpiece on Harvey and blew it upwards and off his crown (followed by a geyser of blood) when he put the rifle in his mouth. Very strange, because like I said, it was real, but it was also a film. Too hard to explain. Well, I gotta get back to work for a minute. Still feeling horrid...but wonderful!

When I was a child I had a fever. My hands felt just like two balloons. Now I got that feeling once again.I can't explain, you would not understand. This is not how I am.

Okay...I feel worse. I'm leaving work early. I think I'll go and rent some movies and watch them today. Any suggestions? Anyone seen anything good lately? Catagory doesn't matter...but I tend to like indie flicks, character studies and dramas...but I'm open to sci-fi, comedy, and documentary as well. Horror only if it's good. Horror doesn't scare me. I like older horror like The Haunting, Exorcist, The Changeling...haunted stuff that is somewhat smart. Okay I'm rambling. Please chime in and recommend anything...I will be leaving work in 50 minutes and will have no more access to a computer today. Thanks guys! And keep telling your high-fever stories so I can read them in a couple days! Ciao (cough!)

As a child I once hallucinate about watching my sister laying down in her bed. It was fucking real. Drugs never made on me the same effect.

Crazy, yes?! I know exactly what you mean about the realism! And when you try to touch them, they move! I'm kind of wondering if this is why so many mentally challenged people hallucinate, or talk to 'things' not really there. I read once their body temperatures ride higher than normal people, which causes a lot of health problems and premature death. If this is the case, I'd LOVE to be retarded! I'm just kidding of course, and I mean no offense to anyone. My dear cousin is severly retarded (since birth, of course), and she has managed to reach the age of 27! She's so funny! Anyhow, come on temperature! Get higher!

I'm still sick, but I spent all weekend watching movies. I watched:
Bad Education, Shivers, The Cincinatti Kid (one of my fav McQueen flicks), The Assasination of Richard Nixon, See No Evil, Slaughterhouse Five, The Graduate, The Woodsman, All the Presidents Men, Sling Blade (mmmm-hmmm), The Big Sleep, and Alphaville.
Now I'm watching a snail befriend a duck (!).
