I had to go to the dentist today to have a filling removed from one of my top, middle incisors, as the dentist who filled it last year cocked it up by filling outside of the root canal. The hope was that it could be drilled out, but no, that would have been toooo easy. After trying that and failing, I had to have two more anaesthetic jabs, and then the dentist proceeded to lift a flap of my gum up to get at and remove the offending filling. I was in there for an hour. I now have stitches in my gum which will be there for three weeks until they dissolve, the threads hang over my teeth ffs. It was still bleeding as I drove home as well. I am wallowing in self pity right now.

Yet another story of english dentistry to further confirm the stereo types and make me fly long haul just to have my teeth polished. |

I pity myself for not being able to come up with any reason why people should pity me.

Further to my dental work yesterday, today I had a scope put up my nose so that the consultant could look at my throat (which is fine). The local anaesthetic which was squirted up my nose was particularly unpleasant, and still stings a bit.
This is my penance for walking with that extra £13.44 I think.

Art Director here had his tooth broken in 2 by his dentist yesterday - he was supposed to be filling it and one of the women I work with had a butcher/dentist refuse to give her painkillers and did such a bad job of her fillings that her face was all swollen and bruised, stopped work halfway through and sent her home.
It's not because of the £13.44. |

My train ticket is only valid after 9h30 - I have to be at work at 9 on Monday. So no Motley Crue, no after party Circus of Sin, no night of decadence, debauchery & eternal damnation with fire breathing freaks and other depraved acts.
and Obfuscate hates me. |

I don't feel like self-pitying at the moment. You were right, floop, a beer or two can solve any problem. |

so today, ok, oh it's still hard to talk about.. woo ok.
So, today after a day of booring cell culture I went to a coffee shop and my friend and I spied on the health and safety guy and the tech girl (we think they are having a 'thing') for a bit and then after went and lounged on the grass outside the winter gardens, eating grapes and drinking weird mango ice tea things and flavoured waters and the like, fabulous sunglasses and green painted toenails, was feeling pretty good. So, then my friend shows me her Sudoku book and copies out one of the puzzles into her elvis lab book for us to have a go at. The others give up quickly but I, new to the Sudoku phenomenon am determined to figure it out. I spent nearly an hour filling in these numbers getting a headache lying on the grass, scribbling it out and trying again, I figure I must be dense, I get pissed and grab the book to see what the hell is going on and it turns out she had copied the DAMNED PUZZLE DOWN TOTALLY WRONG.
I threw a grape at her. I'll remember this terrible terrible day for a long time.
