Cos we all know cat people wouldn't dare make such a foolish mistake to even start with.
Kitten - I've lost count of the times I've seen it on men here. It's like some weird collective male phobia about showing your feet. |

I wasn't implying that, but if I was excercising bad taste in foot apparel would you please be honest with me?

See, those are nice sneaks, speedy.
Another major fashion fuck-up, imho. Grown men in overalls. Never ever a reason for this:

I like those, as long as they look brand new like that picture.
That reminds me of another trend back in school, Everyone had to have a pair of Sambas

I'd love to show my feet in public but it would freak people out. I could never wear socks with sandals though, it'd be like white socks with smart shoes.

Cheesy, I think it's perfectly masculine for a man to have a start-of-the-summer pedicure.

Why would they freak out about your feet - if they're clean - there shouldn't be a problem or any freaking out. And are you trying to rile me with the white socks? |

No really - you don't want to see my feet (ingrowing big toe nail, just getting over the oozy bit).
Here are said cool trainers:

I'm sure they're fine, Simon. You should have them professionally made presentable. It's best to be comfy with one's body, even toes.

I can't find a picture to support my claim, but I think overalls can be sexy on a woman, in the right setting of course, usually not in public. And it's always nice if there's nothing on under the overalls. I guess they can accentuate the chest area =)
I can think of a few occassions in my life when overalls were very sexy on a lady, no details to be provided.

Oh...I am so glad we are talking about men's shoes. I need help! I don't know what it is with my husband...but I need to find him some nice causal shoes he can wear out and about. He has this pair of Danner hightops...that are just a mess! They are great for yard work and working in the plant nursery, but....he even wore them to the pixies concert! I was almost embarrassed, but the rest of him was handsome....so I chose not to say anything (pick your battles!). I need some suggestions. He likes wearing outdoorsey shorts. You know...the slightly cargo style ones that are seen around. He is 6'"2, and 42 years old (so I don't want to get him anything too young) What kind of shoes should I get for him? He has plenty of dressy shoes, but I need to get him a pair that can be wore when we are not on the farm without looking like he took the farm with him. |

Chalk up another one who likes the gypsy type skirts.
Not that I'd ever go pay big bucks for one at the gap or anything...

Won't work, that is what his Danner's were suppose to be for. If the shoes are in any way "outdoor" shoes per say....he will wear them on the farm and muddy them up.
<sigh>....might be something I just have to live with... |

Don't they look kind of dorky if they aren't just a little but muddy though? (I know you get muddy and MUDDY.) |

I'm wearing these and I bought them this weekend. I think have 4 pairs of shoes that I wear a least once a month. I hopelessly lack any fashion sense.

Thanks for the post. Those are wild! Never seen shoes like that before. I would get them for myself, but not sure if he would like them. Perhaps with long jeans.
You know...I should just sit him down at the computer tonight and see if we can find something. Sorry...for going off topic everyone. You are sweet to help. |
