Oh my Gosh! You must come up to Portland, Oregon. I am sure one of the galleries in our "Pearl District" would host you. Not too mention Frank Black supposedly makes his home here when he isn't on the road.

I just clicked on the Forest Lawn link. I can't believe how expensive it is to be cremated! Ridiculous!

I was alone...in my BIG BED

I must resist the urge to tell a great cremation story from when my best friend lived (rent free) and worked at a funeral home.

That would be WAY off topic.

When my father died, we had him cremated through the Neptune Society. The cost was less than half of what Forest Lawn wants and that even included them picking up the body and throwing the ashes at sea.

Thanks to you Simon for stopping by!

Right now, I am working to find a venue for Simon's work. If anyone is interested in working on finding a gallery for a show show of his, let me know. I will give you some detalis we have chatted about and you can run the galleries you choose by Simon.

It would be cool to have shows in some of the Cities where the Pixies have played. (Boston, NY, Chicago, etc).

Also for all of the folks in Cali that are able to check out his exibits, the first Beau Damon Richards gallery will display a range of about 30 images for six weeks. The Art of Music will display three Pixies artwork photos from a private collection. Both are excelent opportunies to check out Simon's work.

If you get a chance to go, you have to let us know what it's like!

Hello Simon - your new work in Cambodia is *stunning*! Quite an inspiration. I hope that you get more shows closer to my neck of the woods.
(Thank you to Daisy Girl for letting me know about this thread!)

There are a couple of galleries in Chicago that might be very interested in your work - I'll look into them and get back to you. I'm going to look around for any Columbus, OH galleries that might be receptive as well. I'm sure your work would be a huge hit here.

Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago specializes in photography, and your style is right up their alley. I used to do a lot of framing for their shows, but that was many years ago; otherwise I would try to contact them personally on your behalf. They are very open and friendly. http://www.edelmangallery.com/

Good luck with your shows and on getting more! I'll email you if/when I can get any more info or contacts for you.
