You clearly haven't seen The Boat That Rocked.

I've seen very few of his movies but he was great in Boogie Nights.

Bit of body blow hearing about PSH. Terrific, likeable actor... one the modern greats, really. RIP.

i did not see that one. but i did disclaim by putting in the "almost". sometimes even a great actor can't prevent a sinking ship from going down so to speak...

some might disagree, but i enjoyed his roles in Magnolia, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Doubt, and of course Capote.

Yeah I keep saying this about Nicolas Cage!

PSH movies I've seen:
Boogie Nights - great
Big Lebowski - great
Almost Famous - crap
Red Dragon - crap
MI3 - can't remember
The Boat That rocked - crap

I think I've missed all the good ones

Almost Famous was kinda crap - but PSH was very convincing as Lester Bangs.

Any doubts about the quality of the film Almost Famous should be held back until one views the director's cut which goes by the title "Untitled" (not to be confused with the late 2000s film starring Adam Goldberg). The character development in the director's vision of Almost Famous sheds a whole new light on the persons portrayed, and Hoffman's role is extended considerably.

RIP Knowlton Nash - most Canadians my age or maybe a little bit younger were forced to watch him nightly by their parents. i can still remember his voice...

The good news is that there is a growing coalition of intelligence agencies from around the world that are monitoring the internet and obtaining the personal information of it's users so as to insure that what happened in Paris never happens again.

Wow, that is very sad. FB's Nashville records aren't my faves but there's some fine drumming on it. Was it Billy Block on the live CD of the 93-03 comp? I love that recording.
