write an obituary to something that has gone under the radar, or give a tribute to an existing obituary.
R.I.P. Candy cigarettes Killed by political correctness and a sudden awareness of brand suggestion, candy cigarettes were the dogs preverbial as a kid because they a) looked like cigarettes which was well cool and, b) were a sweet but as is the way of all childhood sweets they have to disappear from view or we'd have nothing to wax nostalgic about. Gone are the mojos and the sherbert dib dabs of yesteryear. And gone are those ace candy cigarettes. So good bye candy cigarettes, those wonderful treats that would let you pretend you were a five year old having a smoke and tasted vaguely of something pretending to be sugar.
No Flowers.

My friends do this in their newspaper, too. Great idea and, like all great ideas, it is stolen! Yes! I like that.
RIP Intimate Concerts By Frank and the Catholics You went by way of the Pixies as soon as the Pixies reunited but I think of you. I will be slamming as hard as anybody at this summer's Pixies reunion shows, just like last year's, but I will think of you and wait for you until one night, I can enter a small club and see five fabulous men rock out. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go blast Pistolero. No flowers for you unless they're marigolds.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

RIP Saturday Mornings
As a child of six, you were the best part of the week. Waking up before the sun did, and basking in the glow of cartoons, Saturday mornings were alwasy the highlight of my being. Now I'm lucky to catch the AM on Saturdays.

RIP Romance As a child I believed you were a myth. I saw no evidence of you, I heard no stories and I never believed the TV. I kept the cynical idea that romance either never existed or died a long time ago throughout my teenage years only to find out in my early twenties that you were real, a genuine beautiful thing. And now you're dead. Fucking typical.

RIP Utopianism
Oh my beautiful future
You be-escalated wonder of silver walls and sliding doors
Oh my genius future
You leisure zone of digital genes
Oh my cursed future
Why did you leave us with this wretched mediocrity?

I was talking about those candy cigarettes just the other day. They were gorgeous. Do you remember those Camal ones Kitty? They were much more realistic and came in a proper paper cigarette pack. They tasted of shit chocolate though.
I guess floop WAS right!
