I went surfing for the first time in Mexico. One of my favorite memories is afterwards getting some food in a beachside bar and there were some Mexican guitar players who spoke some English. I was feeling brave after surviving my first surfing experience, so I went up to them and asked if I could sit in. They let me, and I sang "Pride and Joy" for everyone. It was just a blast! |

It was near Ensenada and Rosarito Beach. It was so cool! We camped in an olive grove. |

My husband and I are doing a road trip this summer to New Mexico. We are going to Rio Rancho. Got any suggestions on places to see or places to eat? |

Sante Fe is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. I loved the Plaza diner for tamarind juice and cactus paddle salad and The Cowgirl Salloon was a really fun place for drinking in. If they're still doing them the Short Sharp Ciders are fucking amazing - hot unfiltered apple juice, a hefty shot of JD and some cinnamon. The toastiest drink I've ever had.
White Sand National Monument was one of the places that suprised me - a bit freaky being a missile testing area in such a space of natural beauty and such a unique one at that.
Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes. |
