So Nicole, until the thread dissolves into photos of grown men in sasquatch costumes and scifi Nazi regalia you can put your feet up with
and know there be plenty of people whose mouths stay foam-free at mention of SW.

As a novelist, I don't know why you don't like it. It's plenty of old fashioned epic novels imagery.
If you know what I mean.
Not a big fan though.

I've gotta admit, I could take it or leave it. But to those of you here who've been looking forward to the new movie, I say, have fun!
One of my fave mags, Esquire, but Ewan McGregor on the cover this month and I don't think I'm gonna read the piece, which seems to be all about Star Wars. Brian, you want me to mail it to you?

Despite my username I am not a SW fan. I used to, as a kid and as a teenager. Then I got old and boring, and so did George Lucas.

I've tried - and Owen you have managed to put it so eloquently.
Thank you for this little haven.
And while I don't hold anything against those that do (maybe because there are so many of them) it is something that I don't understand (even if it now features Ewan Mcgregor with a beard)

I couldn't care less, but that's exactly it--I don't care--so I'm not going to say anything else. If you like it, great.

Well, I WOULD be, but nerds are smart.
I'm okay with Star Wars, but not as thrilled by it as a lot of people are. I did enjoy the first three movies. I've never seen Episode 2, but I plan to see both that and 3 at some point in the future.

I've come to seek solace in this thread and try to find some reason. I fear I may part with my hard earned cash to go see said film. The allure of watching Hayden Christensen slowly become evil is a great temptation indeed.

The only way I could possibly be any more of a dork with no future is if I watched Star Wars. Actually, I should probably be posting in the "Star Wars is an annihilation of humanity" thread. |

That's exactly how I feel about it, I liked it when I was about 11 years old, I guess. Now I just don't really care.

What if I went and then snuck out when Hayden becomes Darth Vader? (and I should probably stop lurking the "just seen Revenge of the Sith" thread)
