Hello,
What is it about the bridge to "dead" (or what I mean is the part after the descending guitar part) that sounds so wierd and cool? I've been wondering about this for a long time!

Come to think of it, isn't this whole part also the opening bassline? I think that a lot of its appeal has to do with the chords he uses. I really like the WAY he plays it though, with the mutes and the stops after AAD. Seems like a lot of chords to play so quickly, but maybe it isn't; I gave up on guitar relatively quickly. I have a version of this on the "pixies at the BBC" disc, I like the disc as a whole and DEAD really rocks on it, but they omit the bridge!

alot of chords yes but the key is where they're being played. Different chords but in the same fret (if you know what I mean)so not much movement on the fretboard as you'd imagine.
