I love things like this. I don't know why. Guess I just love to talk about myself or something (but I do like to read others answers too).
1. Do you like your handwriting? Sometimes. Can be nice when I am not really tired and have a good pen. I love good pens.
2. Were you named after anyone? Nope.
3. What's on your mouse pad? Don't have one anymore, now that I have a laptop. Before that it was Emily The Strange saying "I WANT YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE".
4. What was your favorite toy as a child? Probably Barbies. Or any little toys that had houses and accessories.
5. What are your nicknames? Em. My dad calls me Patootie. And Tallulah sometimes.
6. What is your most embarrassing CD? Probably Robbie Williams. And I have more than one!
7. What is your least favorite thing about yourself? I think I am too self defended sometimes. And I could lose 20 pounds.
8. Do you trust others easily? Probably too easily.
9. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off or just kick them off? Kick.
10. Shoe size? Between 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 depending on the shoe
11. When did you last cry? Hmm. REALLY cry or just tear up? Really cry was probably a few weeks ago and tear up was this morning at the news.
12. What's the furthest you've been from home? Italy.

Girl, you ain't kiddin. That thing was made of WOOD, and was like this giant tower of Babel, about 3 feet tall with rooms and hidden areas and then the marble would appear go around and back in. I would pay a crapload for that set now. I think it was one of a kind.
My friends had one of these! Also wood, and very very tall. It was truly awesome. I used to love going to their house just to pay with it.

heehee, everyone loves their marbles.
The best is when you can get the marble to jump from one track to another, then you are truly the marblemaster.

No kidding...wow that brings back memories...my dad built a wooden one when I was wee. I recall it being 5 feet high and about as square...you could move some of the straightaways and hook them up with others and make a new track. It was sweet. Wonder if he has it still?

Ahhhhhhhhhh, Kathryn, do you mind? I'm going to take this opportunity to indulge in some much needed self reflection and self evaluation. Thanks!
1. Do you like your handwriting? Yes, I do for many reasons. It can be somewhat fancy and easy on the eyes, and yet fast and efficient when needed. 2. Were you named after anyone? Yeah, my father, which is fine with me, he is one of my heroes, but the only part of my name that is my own is Jr., which leaves me feeling a little short changed. I like my name, Richard, but there are many, many others much cooler sounding than mine. I do like my middle name a lot, Ray...Richard Ray, in fact my son's middle name is Ray, and I wanted my daughter's middle name to be Ray, but my Wife refused, something about not wanting to be like George Foreman's family and have all the kids named George, boy or girl. Whatever! I lost that fight.
3. What's on your mouse pad? At home, an original self portrait of my daughter, in color, magic marker I think. At work, something stupid like Dell. I actually had to look at the one at work today to know what was on it. 4. What was your favorite toy as a child? I'm a child of the 60's and teenager of the 70's, so, can you guess?..............Army men and HotWheels. War was being promoted and glorified by the mass media. My brother and I loved to play with our little plastic army men in all sorts of pretend battles, we also would play "Army" outside with make-believe enemies. Great stuff. And, HotWheels were very cool. Racing them on the tracks was not as much fun as pretending you were driving them all over the house and outside in the dirt. [Wow, I'm having some great flashbacks, thanks K! I think this is just what the doctor ordered!]
5. What are your nicknames? Never had any until later in life, now, maybe, Rich, Big Rich, Richie Rich, Ricardo’, Jr., and Face (Thanks Dorian).
6. What is your most embarrassing CD? I'm not embarrassed of any of them. And just to prove it I'll list a few, "Pet Shop Boys", "Prince: Lovesexy", which is the last and least favorite of my Prince collection, “Purple Rain” is one of my top 10 to this very day!!! Apolonia (sp?) and Shelia E rock my world!...Here's one I'm proud of, saw them at the Ritz-K!, for all those Bostonians, the “Del Fuegos”, “Don’t Run Wild”, in fact, I left this one in New York, need to get another copy, if I can find one, love that song "Coupe Deville"!)
7. What is your least favorite thing about yourself? Ooooohhhhh, how far do I want to dig? Not very! OK, here's a big one, my failure to Carpe Diem when I get home from work. I put too much into my work and I don't save enough for my family, I mean, it's not that bad, but I'm too often distracted with thoughts of work, got that 10-yard stare going on! I need more balance between work and family. I'm good on the weekends, completely focused and living in the moment, just need to work on Monday through Friday.
8. Do you trust others easily? Oh yeah, got to, always give people the benefit of the doubt, if there is a doubt. However, once proven wrong, fuck 'em where they breath, don't have time for 'em, won't put up with 'em!
9. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off or just kick them off? Kick off the sneakers, untie the others.
10. Shoe size? 10 1/2
11. When did you last cry? Last thorough cry was the grieving for my cousin, 49 years young, died of sudden, massive heart attack, Steve Dunn, helluva person! I cried a little yesterday, felt sorry for myself, I also cry at the plight of others when said plight hits close to home.
12. What's the furthest you've been from home? Daily, I treck into the canyons and caverns of intense human emotions, including rejection, despair and self-preservation [guess what I do for a living, well, actually, it's a calling, so, guess what my calling is.............?] Other than that, I've been to Death Valley, loved it, the hotter the better! Vegas was nice! Sedona and Tombstone were great.
Is that it? Wow, that was nice, thanks again K. That didn't hurt one bit!!!

But Sunn O))) has an indie cred at least. No one will laugh at you for owning their album, they'll be too ashamed to admit they hate it.
