The swimmer, I'll be blue, If it takes all night, How you went so far, Everything is new, New house of the pope, This old heartache, Show me your tears

Just some examples of great songs with Rich on the keyboards.

Any true Rich fans out here who know in which other bands he plays piano?

He's played with Tanya Donelly - on her last album at least, and he plays with her live. I think he also does some pedal steel and acoustic guitar as well.

He started out with the now legendary Boston band
Human Sexual Response...

I don't recall seeing Rich play anything other than guitar at
the concerts where I saw them.

If you ever see either of these albums, buy them!

Hours of fun, late-70s/early-80s Boston style!

I saw the one on the bottom at the local record shop and thought about getting it but decided not to. But if you're so enthusiastic about it, I might have to. After all, it's only $5.00 or so.

Okay, I got the album and have listened to it once so far. It is excellent, far better than I expected. As usual, Rich's guitar work is amazing, but dare I say better than his work with the Catholics. I thought "What Does Sex Mean to Me" was a terrible, almost unlistenable song, but other than that it was a great album. I'll have to listen to it several more times to let it sink in. I would describe it as a cross between Pere Ubu, Queen (whoever arranged those harmonies definitely had some inspiration from Queen) and Sonic Youth. It's quite an old album too, 1980. I never realized Rich was that old. He must be well into his forties. Once again, I can't stress how amazing Rich sounds on this album. It's both characteristic of Catholics Rich, but at the same time it's like a completely different person and it sounds amazing. And it takes a lot in music to impress me, so this is saying quite a bit.
