Lali Puna is one of my faves, just as the Notwist and Console.
I saw the Notwist play live two years ago and it was an amazing performance. The guys used to play punk-hardcore music and they still have this incredible energy. And Martin Gretschmann, with his iMac, is a genius.
Lali Puna reminds me of the place in Paris where I used to live, Oberkampf.
I will show you fear in a handful of dust |

They already sound better than Kasabian.

I heard their track Bi-Pet and became hooked. I just bought Scary World Theory and Faking The Books on tuesday, and they're both great. If you want to hear them live, http://www.justconcerts.com/concerts/concert.cfm?Concert_Id=344 is a streaming show from Toronto 2004. It's real good. |

That tells you a bit about them, but the mp3/wma links are down. There's a couple of others knocking about though through Google.
And yes, better than Kasabian. |
