The plan with the two shows was to do a 'rarities' early show and a 'hits' late show. I was psyched to go to both shows in LA but $45 + $15 in fees almost prices me out of going to even one...so is there any sort of confirmation that they are doing different sets, and that the early show will in fact be the rarities show? I wouldn't really be interested in paying $45 to see them do the same kind of sets they did last year. |

I think the latest thing I read on Pixies Music last night was at present moment there is not going to be a b-sides/hits show.
But I would be very suprized if the sets were the same.
You gotta go! I know what it's like having tight $ but skip a few beers that week and you can swing it! |

it would be nice if someone (higher up) would clarify this. it says on the Roseland poster "b-sides/rarities" for the 6:00 show, and on the tickets.
yet Mad-I-have-information-but-won't-tell-you-where-it-came-from-tempest insists there is no b-sides..
i mean, if that first show isn't b-sides isn't that false advertisement? not to sound anal, but, considering the confusion, it would be nice if someone would issue a formal statement |

I don't remember if it was him or not that said that.
I've sent off an email to someone that should be able to confirm it/give me details, but whether or not I actually get anything back (other than "nice try/sorry/don't know yet") is unfortunately another story.

Hey floop I think I read it in some interview before the news about any 2005 show, so it must be from early this year, and I'm pretty sure it was Frank that said that, but come on, we know how he jokes about this kind of stuff.
I haven't found the article yet though, oh and I'm also sure that it was not a discussion about not playing some rare stuff last year which was discussed in many articles from 2004. That can create some kind of confussion. He mentioned something about if they play some shows this year they might play 2 shows in one night and playing some b-sides.
Looking for the article, hope I can find it!! :) |

| The message about FB's 40th birthday gives it away..."It's hard to tell at this size, but PJ Harvey's 'guest' appears to be none other than Eric Drew Feldman, who we're all hoping will be joining the Pixies for their summer tour"...why would they suddenly need Feldman to play the same songs they did last year without him? Come on. Sounds like they'll need him for the early sets--to keyboard up all the Trompe/Bossa stuff. |

it's like sooooo obvious.
They're going to play the new album. They just don't want to say it yet. It'll be left for speculation until they strike up the first cords. |

I know FB said something along the lines of a confirmation in the Q&A he did recently here, but does anyone know if this is a one-time deal, or if it applies for the twofers across the board? I wanna see 'em in Frisco. |

Any place where there's a double header is *most likely* to be a b-sides set and a hits set. So if you've got one goin' on nearby, I'd say get on it!
