nice one! Oh, did we have a hint of the pixie record that never was:
Are there any Pixies tracks recorded that have not been released? Yes, yes. Definitely.
Can you tell me about them? No. Because we're trying to work those out, because we're doing another album straight away. that'll be more surfier, like "Bossanova". We've got a lot of recorded material, like Guns 'n' Roses. Not enough to make this album and not enough to make that album. We've done sort of seven eighths of this album and two eighths of that album... see what I mean? We've done more than an album's worth of stuff, but not enough for either of them to come out. It's weird, isn't it?
Kim's not referring to Trompe, is she? |

There were rumors before TLM was released that it was going to be a double album, so I think there is a pretty good possibility of some unreleased songs :) well at least we know that Brackish Boy was recorded, wasn't it? |

Interesting, she was very wordy at that time and that was, apparently what Black did not like. I think he always tried to be elusive about the pixies. Between mystery and ... autism! Here kim is much more relax and frank (!!). Probably too much for Frank. You can feel a lot of irony though and a feeling of boredom from her. Her message is clear, she wanted to sing... that's what it was all about. I understand totally, I wanna sing too!!!!

Yeah Black Francis himself said that there will be a double album at that time... I even read an old interview in the "Rock N Folck" (french magazine) that he was writing a surf album scheduled for mid 1992.
And Kim always said that she wanted to sing a lot more. |

I hope that they could realese some of that songs on a new album (like subbacultcha that was wrote on early days of pixies an then was included in Trompe le Monde). |

Great, that's a nice little rarity. She kind of takes over the Black Francis role for this interview. She reckons Levitate Me is her fave, which everybody seems to hate! Oh My Golly! Is a great song. But she dos'nt like the ending of No.13 Baby? That's one of my favorite parts, I love Joey's guitar. |

It does go on a tinchy bit, but Joey's guitar is so beautiful! A Surf album would be interesting. |

What a cool interview, thanks Levitated.
I can't believe she mentioned Inspiral Carpets. That was odd.
That gig on the lake sounded cool.
I joined the secret forum, and all I got was this lousy secret
