Well it's after midnight here in Central Standard Time, so today marks the one year anniversary of me finally seeing the Pixies, incidentally being the first year of the band officially being back together, as far as I'm concerned. (Because it was their first reunion show, not because I saw them. I'm not that conceited.) Anybody else care to reflect on what this year has been like for him or her? That being a world in which the Pixies are still making music/i.e. something I never thought I'd see, but secretly hoped for since I was in junior high. I know there are those who would peg me as a sappy sentimentalist for even bringing this subject up, but I thought it merited mention. Anybody agree? |

I would never begrudge anybody the joy of seeing the reunited, hopefully-new-album-releasing Pixies.
That said, what Whore said.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

I think a Catholics tour wouldn't be too hard to pull off. John Flansburgh managed to tour with TMBG and then with Mono Puff, going back and forth for a while. Granted, Flansburgh is a work horse, but then again, so is Frank. So here's to more of the Pixies and more of the Catholics. It's awfully idealistic, but it's possible. |

shiner, I like to think that if I can manage seeing several Pixies reunion shows as a new mom, Frank can continue being Frank as a new dad.
P.S. Again, what Whore said.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

April 30 will be the one-year anniversary of the greatest Pixies show since the '80s: The Pomona Glass House.

Remember that live chat about the first show in Minneapolis?? It was amazing, I think it was Cult of Frank or another guy who was in the audience sending messagges by his cellphone and everybody who was in the chat betting what would be the first song, the last song, etc.. it was great, haha I saw everybody bitting their nails waiting for news, setlist, banter aahh what a cool moment it was..
..but wait. Any chance we can do that again for the B-Sides show?? It would be fantastic!!! |

I'm glad someone was there in Minneapolis to send messages. I was having trouble remembering to breathe. |
